When Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas® debuted last December, the largest and most innovative ship afloat challenged every conceivable limit of existing cruising concepts. Now, Oasis’ sister Allure of the SeasSM is set to rival her with even more breakthroughs in dining, entertainment and guest services when she arrives this December 2010.
Exclusively aboard Allure, guests will be dazzled by “all that jazz” in Chicago: The Musical, the ship’s signature Broadway production in the Amber Theater. Additional world-class entertainment options include Blue Planet, a spectacle of music, dance and aerial acrobatics, and OceanAria, a thrilling aquatic event featuring dramatic aerial choreography in the ship’s open-air AquaTheater. Another first on cruise ships will be the 3-D movies playing in Allure’s main theater and DreamWorks Animation, discover once-upon-a-time moments filled with your favorite characters from Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and more.
A tempting new restaurant in Allure’s Boardwalk neighborhood will be Rita’s Cantina. In this al fresco bar and taqueria, diners will enjoy flavorful Mexican fare along with the widest selection of margaritas at sea. Live music and dancing at Rita’s Cantina will contribute to the Boardwalk’s lively ambiance and nightlife. Another new dining option is The Boardwalk Dog House, a specialty eatery serving hot dogs, brats, sausages and more.
With an unprecedented collection of onboard amenities, entertainment and service options, Allure of the Seas will soon share the title of the most extravagant and revolutionary cruise ship on the high seas. For the 2010-2011 season, both Allure and Oasis offer Western and Eastern Caribbean 7-night itineraries from their home port in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
